Before you hand a legal problem to anyone, you are entitled to know who they are, what they are licensed to do, and who you can complain to if it goes wrong. Most websites belonging to a law firm in Dubai answer none of those questions. This page answers all three.

Our professional licence number is 593372.
We publish that here because you should not have to ask for it, and because you should check it. A law firm in Dubai that cannot produce a licence number on request is telling you something, and it is worth listening to.
You can verify our registration, and the registration of any advocate practising in the emirate, through the register held by the Dubai Legal Affairs Department. If anything you find there does not match what is on this page, tell us and we will correct it.
Who regulates law firms in Dubai
The legal profession across the country is governed by Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2022 regulating the legal profession, which came into force on 2 January 2023. Two instruments sit underneath it: Cabinet Resolution No. 8 of 2025, the executive regulations, and Cabinet Resolution No. 9 of 2025, the Code of Ethics, effective 15 March 2025.
Supervision is shared:
Two consequences of that framework matter to you as a client. First, under Article 6(1) of Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2022, only a licensed lawyer may use the title “lawyer”. Second, the Code of Ethics restricts how a practice may advertise itself; Article 18(1) prohibits promotional material that is misleading or deceptive.
That is why nothing on this site quotes a proportion of cases won, a ranking against other practices, or an unverifiable accolade. Those claims cannot be substantiated, and publishing them would breach the rules we practise under. What a law firm in Dubai can properly tell you is what it is licensed to do and who licensed it, which is what this page does.
- The Ministry of Justice regulates the profession at federal level.
- The Dubai Legal Affairs Department licenses and supervises lawyers and legal consultancies practising in Dubai.
- The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department performs the equivalent role in Abu Dhabi.
How to check any advocate before you instruct them
This takes about five minutes and applies to us as much as to anyone else.
- Ask for the licence number and the issuing body. A licensed practice will give both without hesitating.
- Check the name of the individual, not only the firm. Firms are licensed and so are the people inside them. You want to know who will actually handle your file.
- Check what they are registered to do. An advocate may plead before the courts. A legal consultant may advise and draft but may not plead before the Dubai Courts. Our advocates page sets out who at this firm holds which registration.
- Check the register. Confirm what you have been told against the Dubai Legal Affairs Department’s own records rather than against the firm’s website.
- Get the scope and the charges in writing. Any practice can write down what it is being engaged to do before it starts doing it.

We tell you when you do not have a case. An honest early answer costs you one meeting. An optimistic one costs you a great deal more.

We work in your language. Court proceedings in the UAE are conducted in Arabic. Our clients are not. We explain what is being filed in your name in a language you read properly.
We tell you what is happening. You should not have to chase your own lawyer for the status of your own case.
Legal services in the UAE, and where we practise
Our practice is based in Dubai and our court work is centred on the Dubai Courts and the Dubai authorities. Federal legislation applies across the country, so the law governing your contract or your marriage may well be the same wherever you are, but the court that hears it and the authority that registers it will not be. If your matter has been filed outside Dubai, tell us where, and we will confirm whether we can act before you instruct us.

Why are there no outcome statistics on this site?
Because they could not be substantiated, and because the Code of Ethics prohibits misleading promotional material. Any law firm in Dubai quoting you a percentage of cases won should be asked what the figure is measured against, over what period, and who checked it.
Do you act for expatriates?
Yes. A large part of legal services in the UAE involves people whose marriage, contract or company was formed somewhere else. That is ordinary work here, not an exception.
